Florida's freshwater fisheries depend on the sale of fishing licenses to fund management objectives, such as aquatic habitat restoration, fish stocking, fisheries education programs and law enforcement. Many fishing-related businesses recognize that management of our aquatic resources is critical to sustaining fishing as a traditional outdoor recreation and thus maintaining their businesses. Many of these companies help us promote fishing and generate revenue for management via special promotions.
